If you want the quietest wrist, start here. Black dial. Black and gray 24-hour bezel. It disappears under a cuff and still reads clean outdoors. For me, black is the “buy once, stop thinking” look.

Same GMT machine as the blue. You are buying mood, not a different caliber class. If your wardrobe is mostly navy, gray, and black, this is the safe pick that still feels like a tool watch.

Blue Taste: SSK003
Blue is the loud cousin that still looks intentional. Sunburst blue dial. Black and blue GMT bezel. It pops in daylight without turning into a costume piece. I reach for blue when I want color that still passes as everyday.

That page lists 42.5 mm diameter and 13.6 mm thickness—slightly different from the black page’s 13.4 mm, so I quote each listing as printed. Band width 22 mm. Blue dial. Blue-leaning bezel. 100 m water resistance. Same 4R34 story: about 41 hours, manual winding.
If black feels too muted and orange feels too loud, blue is the middle lane for me. Same cart math as SSK001 the day I checked. The choice is mostly what you see when you glance at your wrist.

Orange Taste: Official SSK005, Then the Shoppable Swap
Orange is the statement dial. Warm orange face. Two-tone gray 24-hour bezel. If you want the watch to announce itself across a table, this is the color. I like it when the rest of the outfit stays simple.
Official US SSK005 was live when I checked in early September 2026. Reviews: 4.5 out of 5 from 310 global ratings. That page listed Hardlex, 42.5 mm, 13.4 mm, 100 m water resistance, and the usual 4R34 bullets. What it did not show: a featured price or a Buy Now button. One-push tri-fold clasp. Packshot above is from that shoppable listing—the orange you could put in a cart.
Important split: that SSK005KC table listed water resistance at 50 meters. The official US SSK005 page printed 100 meters. I am not merging those claims. If you need the 100 m line from the US SSK005 page, wait for a live offer there. If you want orange in the cart today, know the shoppable SSK005KC listing I priced said 50 m. Different rows. Different shopping decisions.

Black (SSK001) if you want stealth. Highest review count of the three on the day I looked, and a clean $396 featured offer.
Blue (SSK003) if you want color without the orange shout. Same $396 featured price, with that 20% off list note on the page, and strong review volume from OutdoorEquipped / Amazon fulfillment.
Orange (SSK005 / SSK005KC) if the dial is the point. Start on the official US SSK005 page for the 100 m claim and Hardlex notes—but expect no Buy Now until stock returns. Use SSK005KC only when you accept its own 50 m table row and the higher $465.13 tag.
All three sit in the same 4R34 family. Bracelet, case size, and GMT layout travel together. Your decision is taste and what Amazon will actually sell you that day.
Quick Wear Notes Before You Click
42.5 mm with a GMT bezel wears larger than a slim 37 mm Seiko. Try a soft tape on your wrist if you are between sizes. The 22 mm lugs leave room for a NATO later. Sports 100 m on the US black, blue, and official orange pages covers swimming and rain—not a free pass for hard dive work on these listings.
Match the exact model number in the cart. A price gap between live black/blue pages and a live orange import-style page is a marketplace snapshot for early September 2026, not a quality ladder. Black and blue tied at $396 when I looked. Shoppable orange sat higher, with fewer reviews and that separate 50 m note.
