Watches Under $200 I Would Actually Buy

Watches Under $200 on Amazon US: Duro, G-Shock, Timex, Seiko 5

Prices, stock, and ratings are what I saw on Amazon in early September 2026. They can change, so check the live page before you pay.

I set a hard ceiling: under $200 on Amazon US. Four watches I could actually add to cart that morning. A Casio Duro dive-style quartz. A G-Shock I could buy when the square one was not a clean featured buy. A Timex Easy Reader on leather. A Seiko 5 automatic that still cleared the cap. The Seiko 5 Sports SRPD pages I opened the same day were sitting at $280 to $350. Over. Out.

Taste first. Duro if you want cheap 200 m quartz you can rinse. G-Shock if you want shock, resin, and buttons. Timex if you want a thin white dial on leather for under fifty. Seiko 5 SNXS77 if you want an automatic and the price is still under $200 when you click.

Casio Duro MDV106

Casio Duro MDV106-1A black dive-style watch, official product photo
Casio Duro MDV106-1A. Cheap quartz I can rinse and forget.

When I checked in early September, the Duro MDV106-1A was $66.26. I also saw $62.95 on the same day. I am quoting $66.26 as the featured figure I used. In stock. 4.7 out of 5 from 31,947 ratings. That sample is huge. Stars are still other people’s taste. I use them as a crowd check, not as a commandment.

44 mm across. 12 mm thick. 20 mm band. Japanese quartz. Steel case. Resin strap. Mineral crystal. 200 m / 660 ft on the page. It is a quartz beater. It is not sapphire. It is not automatic. The seconds hand ticks. The battery lives in there.

In my taste this is the watch I would throw in a beach bag. Resin strap. Rinse it. Hang it. I would not pretend the mineral crystal is sapphire. I would wear it if sixty-six dollars and a steel case was the whole brief. 44 mm wears large. If your wrist is small, try it on in your head before you click. I treat 200 m as swim and surface water. Pool. Shore. A boat day. Not a scuba license. Rinse after salt or chlorine.

Casio G-Shock DW9052

Casio G-Shock DW9052-1V black resin digital watch, official product photo
Casio G-Shock DW9052-1V. The live G-Shock I could cart under $200.

I wanted a square G-Shock in the DW5600 family. When I checked, that square was not a clean featured buy. So I swapped to a live G-Shock that was: the DW9052-1V. Shock, resin, digital. A watch I could buy that morning.

When I checked in early September, the DW9052 was $59.92. I also saw $54.29. I am quoting $59.92. In stock. 4.7 out of 5 from 10,285 ratings. Real pile of owners. Still other people’s taste.

Digital quartz. Resin case and band. Mineral crystal. 48.5 mm diameter. 25 mm band. 660 ft water resistance on the page. Shock resistant. Calendar, stopwatch, timer, alarm. Buttons and a backlight are the point. This is not a dress watch.

One listing row printed a case thickness that did not make sense next to a 48.5 mm round G-Shock. I ignored that row. I shop diameter, water resistance, and the feature list.

In my taste this is the under-$200 shock box. Cheaper than the Duro the day I looked. If you wanted a bezel and an analog seconds hand, stay on the Duro. If you wanted a square and it is not a clean buy when you open the page, this is the swap I made.

Timex Easy Reader T2H281

Timex Easy Reader T2H281 white dial on black leather strap, official product photo
Timex Easy Reader T2H281. Thin, white dial, leather, Indiglo.

When I checked in early September, the Timex Easy Reader T2H281 showed $47.08 as Amazon new. I also saw $23.54 on the page. I am quoting the $47.08 Amazon new figure, not a used offer. In stock. 4.4 out of 5 from 18,152 ratings. Huge sample again. Stars are still taste.

35 mm across. 8 mm thick. Brass case. Leather band at 18 mm. Mineral crystal. White dial. 30 m water resistance. Indiglo on the list. 30 m is splash language. Rain. A sink. I would not swim in it on purpose. Pull the crown gently when you set the date.

In my taste this is the thin leather pick under fifty. Large numerals. Easy to read. I would skip it if I needed 200 m, steel and a bezel, or an automatic. Forty-seven dollars buys a clean analog face and a night light. 35 mm is small next to the Duro and the G-Shock. If you wanted something that slides under a cuff, this is the one in the set.

Seiko 5 SNXS77

Seiko 5 SNXS77 blue dial automatic on steel bracelet, official product photo
Seiko 5 SNXS77. Blue dial automatic that still cleared $200.

I wanted a modern Seiko 5 Sports SRPD under $200. The ones I opened that day featured at $280 to $350. Over the cap. Those are nice watches, and they were not in this budget the morning I shopped. The Seiko 5 that still showed under $200 was the older SNXS77. Blue dial. Steel bracelet. Automatic.

When I checked in early September, the SNXS77 was $198.45. In stock. 4.3 out of 5 from 4,667 ratings. Smaller pile than the Casio pages. Still a live crowd.

Automatic. Steel case and bracelet. Hardlex crystal. 37 mm across. 12 mm thick. 22 mm band. Blue dial. 30 m water resistance. 30 m on this Seiko is not the Duro’s 200 m. Splash and rain. Not a dive story. You wear it. It winds. Leave it in a drawer for a few days and it may stop. That is normal for an automatic.

Amazon’s listing table on this page is messy. One cell wanders into an SNXS75-looking part string. Another line calls an automatic “battery powered.” I go by the title SNXS77 and the automatic movement type. Match the blue dial and the SNXS77 name in the cart.

In my taste this is the under-$200 automatic in the set. Closest to the ceiling. You are paying for a rotor and a steel bracelet, not for 200 m or sapphire. Hardlex will scratch sooner than sapphire. I would skip it if I wanted quartz I can forget in a drawer, or if I needed real swim depth. I would buy it if the whole point was a blue Seiko 5 automatic that still cleared $200 when I checked.

How I Would Pick

I would click the Duro if I wanted cheap 200 m quartz I can rinse. I would click the G-Shock if I wanted shock, resin, and a digital face under sixty dollars. I would click the Timex if I wanted a thin white dial on leather for under fifty. I would click the SNXS77 if I wanted an automatic and the featured price was still under $200. Four different jobs. One cart at a time. Re-check price and stock the morning you buy.
